Cancer information at your finger tips, access to books, videos, the internet, brochures and other educational and cancer preventive materials are available through a simple phone call or visit to the CHRISTUS St. Michael W. Temple Webber/American Cancer Society Cancer Information Resource Center.

The resource center, located within the St. Michael W. Temple Webber Cancer Center, opened July 14, 1998, as an expanded service of the Cancer Center.

"A collaborative project between CHRISTUS St. Michael and the American Cancer Society, the resource center offers an avenue for persons in our region to obtain information about all aspects of cancer from prevention to treatment," said Nancy Keenan, Vice President/Chief Nurse Executive at CHRISTUS St. Michael. "The center stemmed from our desire to change the statistics which tell us that cancer is the second leading cause of death in a 19-county area in the Ark-La-Tex as well as across the nation."

While you are welcome to browse through the center yourself, our volunteers will be happy to assist you in obtaining information. They are able to help you scan the internet and print out your findings. You also may call the center and ask for information to be mailed to you.

The Center is open from
9am—3pm, Monday—Friday

Volunteers are available during this time in person or by phone to assist visitors or callers in seeking the latest cancer information.
